The CATH Community Hub is a “drop-in” service, where individuals can come for help and support with any number of issues not only homelessness or risk of homelessness. Frequently people who might find it difficult to access services elsewhere.
The Community Hub aims to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for individuals who may be experiencing varying degrees of crisis in their lives. Our staff are experienced and skilled at working sensitively with the people who access the Community Hub. We recognise people’s individuality and by offering a safe and supportive environment, try to support and enable individuals to make informed choices about their lifestyles and current and future living/housing arrangements.
Our partnership working allows service users of CATH and other organisations to access healthcare including a Community Psychiatric Nurse, Podiatrist and Community Nurse, Dentist and Optician. CATH can make referrals to CHC. As we return to normality after the pandemic it is hoped that health staff will return to holding drop in sessions at the Day Centre providing access for individuals who might not routinely attend health services.
The Day Centre is very much a community resource which provides a range of activities both within the building, outside in the fresh air and in other facilities across Perth.
