CATH reopened Tayview House on the 1st of December 2017 offering hostel accommodation for 8 individuals in purpose built flats, with 24/7 on-site support.
The purpose of the hostel is to encourage residents to take small steps to independent living with the aim of preparing people for their own tenancies.
Each of the eight flats contains a bedroom, bathroom and living area. Communal areas include a dining area and lounge where a daily hot meal is provided and residents can socialise. A monthly newsletter and weekly meetings keep the residents informed of any changes and encourage them to participate in the running of the hostel.
Support at Tayview House is provided both in-house by CATH and in collaboration with other support agencies.
All CATH referrals come through the Homeless Advice Centre for Perth and Kinross.
