CATH reopened Tayview House on the 1st of December 2017 offering recovery focussed supported accommodation for 8 individuals in purpose built flats, with 24/7 on-site support.
The purpose of the service is to encourage residents to take small steps to independent living with the aim of preparing people for their own tenancies. The support provided is agreed with the resident and forms an individualised personal support plan.
Each of the eight flats contains a bedroom, bathroom and living area. Communal areas include a dining area and lounge where a daily hot meal is provided and residents can socialise. Regular meetings keep the residents informed of any changes and encourage them to participate in the running of the hostel and social activities.
Support at Tayview House is provided both in-house by CATH and in collaboration with other support agencies. The service is registered with the Care Inspectorate
All referrals for Tayview House come through the Homeless Advice Centre for Perth and Kinross.
