Sleep Out 2016

Events, News

The purpose of this event is to raise general awareness of Homelessness and help fundraise for local charity CATH. We are not attempting to match the sense of danger, hopelessness and hunger, which afflicts many homeless people. We would welcome your support and would like to ask you to consider participating in this event and help us raise awareness of Homelessness.

Why?

To show your support for homeless people and help us raise much needed funds to enable us to continue to provide support to those who need our services in Perth & Kinross.

What do I have to do?

For just 1 night, swap your bed for a sleeping bag and experience a “good night’s sleep” on the cold, hard pavement!

How much should I raise?

The target is £250 per team. The sponsorship money raised is absolutely vital for us to maintain our frontline services in supporting homeless people across Perth & Kinross.

Participants would be rough sleeping around the outside of St John’s Kirk, Perth. We can sleep inside St John’s Kirk on the night of the event, if the weather turns too sever for people to remain outside.

Tea / Coffee will be offered within St John’s Kirk to the people participating in the event. Toilets are available for this event. Marshalls & First Aiders will be in attendance.

The date for this event is Wednesday 16th November 8pm – 6am (registration from 7.30pm)

We would like to ask if you would be willing to support this event and enter a Team for our very first CATH SLEEP OUT.

We recommend Teams of 5/6 persons. There is no registration fee, but we would like to ask if you can raise £250 sponsorship as a Team for local charity Churches Action for the Homeless.

I hope our event will be of interest to you and would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further with you.
